Food wholesale and distribution software for Oman: expiry, lots and credit sales
A food wholesaler buys in volume, sells on credit and delivers to customers, and expiry matters before anything else. Nizro opens with ready categories in Arabic and English: coffee, chocolate, nuts and kernels, dates, dried fruits, spices, sweets and gift tins, and retail packs. It issues the VAT invoice and follows lots and expiry, purchasing, delivery and the books.
Works the way you already work
In food wholesale: you and Nizro
- You
Sell lines at different VAT rates.
NizroIt marks each line with its treatment, totals each kind on its own line, and adds the QR code when the branch has a VAT number.
- You
Receive a lot with an expiry date.
NizroIt sorts the lots by expiry, colours what expires within 90 days, and never sells an expired one.
- You
Sell to a customer on credit.
NizroIt books the balance as owed and puts a badge on his file, on credit or overdue, with the open amount.
- You
Schedule a delivery.
NizroIt prints the delivery note with the items, their weights and a signature box, and records every change of date.
- You
Order from a supplier with a purchase order.
NizroIt sends it for approval over your limit, records what arrived and what was refused, and never enters a supplier bill twice.
A VAT invoice with mixed rates per line
Every line on the invoice carries its own tax treatment: standard rated, zero rated or exempt. A special line is marked on the paper itself, and each kind has its own totals row and a legend under the totals, so the combined tax figure reconciles by hand. The invoice prints in Arabic or English, and if the branch has a VAT number it carries a QR code holding the seller's name, VAT number, time, total and tax. Every invoice has a sequential number that never repeats.
Expiry and lots
Any item can demand an expiry date at goods-in, with a switch on its card. The lot register is sorted by expiry, and a lot dying within 90 days shows in a warning colour. An expired lot cannot be sold and leaves stock through a numbered write-off with a written reason: damage, expiry, sample, gift or count fix. Stock alerts show on the day's board.
Credit sales and deposits
An invoice taken with a deposit shows three extra lines: paid so far, the outstanding balance in red and the balance due date. The balance is booked as owed by the customer. Each customer file carries a badge that says whether he is on credit or overdue, with the open amount, so you read it before the next credit sale. An invoice with an instalment plan has a schedule that shows who paid and who is late. The owner's board shows unpaid balances.
Purchasing and suppliers
You buy through an order that goes for approval if it passes your limit, then receiving, where you record what arrived and what was rejected, then the supplier's bill. The bill can carry charge lines, such as freight and inspection, that never enter stock. Supplier kinds include general, clearing agent and distributor, and every supplier has a statement. A supplier bill cannot be entered twice.
Delivery to customers
Delivery (a module you switch on in the settings) is work with an address, a time, a driver and costs, so it has its own job attached to the sales order. The delivery board sorts today's jobs, overdue jobs and unscheduled jobs. You print a delivery note with the customer, the address, a table of items with quantities and weights, a Received by line with name and date, and a signature box. Every change to the planned delivery time is logged as from this to that and cannot be edited.
Repeat orders and the books
A customer who orders the same quantity every two weeks becomes a repeat order, a module you switch on in the settings. The cycle produces a follow-up when it comes due and never creates an invoice by itself. When the accounts module is on, every sale, purchase and expense posts to the right entry. At close Nizro works out what should be in the drawer. Payroll follows Oman rules: Social Protection Fund, end of service and the Wage Protection System file.
E-invoicing and wholesale
Your invoice is structured today: tax on every line, sequential numbering and no amount, VAT, line or price changes after issue. The system is built to connect to Fawtara, which becomes mandatory for every VAT registered business from 1 October 2027 under Decision No. 189/2026. Confirm your own date with the Tax Authority. Van routes do not exist today, and we say so.
