Furniture showrooms

Furniture showroom software for Oman

From the visit to the handover: a ready piece leaves today on one invoice, and a made-to-measure order goes through a quote, deposits, delivery and fitting. Nizro knows both.

Built for Oman and the GCC · 30 days free

Nizro's new quote for a furniture showroom: the title, validity date and terms, and the first line with its total
  • Quotes with revisionsA sent quote cannot be edited
  • Projects with depositsRevenue only at handover
  • Delivery and fitting with a crewA board that sorts today's and overdue jobs
  • A VAT invoiceIn Arabic or English, with tax on every line

Works the way you already work

In a furniture showroom: you and Nizro

  • You

Record a customer who visited the showroom.

    Nizro

It opens a LEAD number, asks four questions that measure how serious they are, and keeps it all out of your books until a quote is accepted.

  • You

    Send the quote.

    Nizro

It locks it once sent: a change is a new revision, and the old one stays valid until the new one is sent.

  • You

Take a deposit on a project.

    Nizro

It books it as owed to the customer, not as revenue, and will not hand over the project before the full contract value is collected.

  • You

    Schedule the delivery and fitting.

    Nizro

It prints a note with the address, the crew's numbers and a receiver's box, and records every change of date, from and to.

  • You

Pay a subcontractor on the project.

    Nizro

It enters the amount in the project's profit and in the showroom's books at the same moment.

What a furniture showroom gets

  • Following the customer before they buy

It starts with the first call: a lead with a LEAD number and four questions that measure how serious they are: budget, authority, need and timeline.

    • Then a deal moves through stages set up for a furniture showroom: design consultation, site measurement, quotation, negotiation
    • Each stage has a win probability, so you know the weighted value of what is in your hands
    • When you lose a deal you write the reason, and after four weeks you know whether you lose on price or on design
    • None of this touches your books until a quote is accepted
    • You switch projects, delivery and accounts on in the settings, and switching projects on brings accounts with it
  • A quote that does not change in the customer's hand

A quote is a sheet with lines, prices and a validity date, and it is not a tax invoice.

    • When the validity date passes it shows as expired by itself and the Accept and Decline buttons disappear
    • Once you mark it as sent it cannot be edited: you create a new revision, and the old one stays valid until the new one is sent
    • So the customer is never left without a valid quote, and you can prove what you promised
    • A line discount comes off before VAT
  • The made-to-order project

A project does not start from figures typed from memory. It starts from a quote the customer accepted and you converted.

    • Nizro builds a milestone schedule from your business's default weighting, with a planned deposit for each phase
    • Deposits you collect are booked as a liability to the customer on the customer advances account 2400 and become revenue only at handover
    • Three bars show what is complete, billed and collected, so you can see if you are funding the customer out of your own pocket
    • The contract value can change after the start only through a variation order
    • A project cannot be handed over before the full contract is collected
  • Project costs and profit

Everything you pay out on a project, materials, subcontractors and labour, is recorded on the project itself.

    • It lands in the project's profit and in the shop's books at the same moment, with no parallel ledger
    • The project profit statement is the same income statement your accountant reads, filtered to this project's entries
    • After handover everything that touches money is locked, and a mistake is fixed with an accounting entry
  • Delivery and fitting with a crew

Delivery and fitting is work with an address, a time, a crew and costs, so it has its own job attached to the order or the project.

    • The crew has drivers and fitters
    • The delivery board sorts today's jobs, overdue jobs and unscheduled jobs, with a list of fittings coming due
    • You print a delivery and fitting note with the address, the crew's numbers, a table of the items and a Received by line with name and date
    • Every change to the planned delivery or fitting time is logged as from this to that and cannot be edited, so you can answer a customer who says you promised Tuesday
  • The showroom floor and the furniture invoice

Ready stock is sold at the till as an ordinary order with one invoice.

    • Stock leaves with the sale and the books are written with it
    • The invoice prints in Arabic or English, with tax on every line and a sequential number that never repeats
    • You can track your customers and group them by what they buy
    • Every user has permissions: staff add and edit their own records and a manager edits all records

From the first visit to handover

From the first call to the project handover

Ready stock gets one invoice at the till. A custom order gets a quote, then a project with deposits, then delivery and fitting with a crew.

  1. Lead

A LEAD number and four questions on how serious they are

  2. Quote

With revisions, and a sent quote is never edited

  3. Project

Milestones, each with a planned deposit

  4. Delivery and fitting

A job with an address, a time and a crew

  5. Handover

Not before the full contract is collected

  • None of this touches your books until a quote is accepted
  • Deposits you collect are a liability to the customer and become revenue only at handover
  • The contract value can change after the start only through a variation order
  • Every change to the planned delivery or fitting time is logged as from this to that and cannot be edited
