Gold and jewellery shops

Gold shop software for Oman

One system for a gold and jewellery shop: sell by weight and karat, buy scrap with a receipt, and know where every gram is, from the scale to the books.

This trade does not open by self sign up: we set it up with you when you request a quote.

Nizro's sale screen for a gold shop: the piece with its weight, karat and today's price per gram
  • By weight and karatAt today's price per gram
  • A receipt for every purchaseFor scrap gold bought from a customer
  • A record for every gramIn the shop, with a supplier or with a refiner
  • A VAT invoiceIn Arabic or English, with VAT on every line

Works the way you already work

In a gold shop: you and Nizro

  • You

    Scan the piece's tag.

    Nizro

It prices the piece at today's price per gram for its karat, then adds the making charge and VAT, line by line.

  • You

Weigh a scrap piece and pick its karat.

    Nizro

It suggests a buying price, the market price less your margin, prints the purchase receipt, and warns you when the amount reaches your ID threshold.

  • You

    Ask: where is my gold?

    Nizro

It shows your gold in the shop, with suppliers and with refiners in pure grams, and refuses to send a gram the sender does not hold.

  • You

Take in a customer's piece for repair.

    Nizro

It opens a numbered repair card, prints the receipt card, and follows the piece until it is back in the customer's hand.

  • You

Count the till at the end of the day.

    Nizro

It works out what should be in it and records the difference under the name of whoever closed.

What a gold shop gets

  • Selling by weight and karat

Pick the piece or scan its label, and Nizro prices it at today's price per gram.

    • Weight × the price per gram for the piece's karat + the making charge + VAT
    • The total moves line by line in front of the customer
    • Bars and coins have their own prices
    • The metal prices page shows each karat's sell and buy price with your shop's margin, and warns you when the price is old
    • You print a bilingual price board and hang it in the shop window
    • A quote can carry gold by weight and karat too: its price per gram holds until the end of the day it was sent, or for the hours you set, and never past its Valid until date; then a revised copy takes today's price
  • Buying scrap gold with a receipt

You weigh the piece and pick its karat, and Nizro suggests a buying price, which you can change.

    • The suggested price is the market price less your buying margin
    • A customer is required on every purchase, and a warning appears when the amount reaches the limit you set for an ID number
    • You can keep up to 5 photos of the piece
    • The receipt is a purchase receipt, not a tax invoice, because the seller is a private person
    • With the Scrap and refining loss feature switched on, gold you will not sell as a piece goes into the scrap box until you send it to a refiner or melt it
  • The metal ledger: where is every gram?

Every gram enters the ledger through a numbered lot with two weights: what the scale showed and the pure gold inside.

    • One screen shows your gold in the shop, with suppliers and with refiners
    • Nizro refuses to send a gram the holder does not have, and shows you the real balance
    • When you count the shop, you enter what you found and the difference is written as a new line with your name and note
    • An old line is never edited or deleted
  • Repairs and customer orders

A customer's piece is in your care: you open a numbered ticket and follow the job until the piece is back in the customer's hand.

    • A numbered repair ticket, and a custody ticket you print
    • A special order goes from a quote to a deposit that locks the price, then to a maker
    • The finished piece is reserved in the customer's name and handed over on an invoice
    • The deposits register shows what the customer paid and what is left
    • A sale on instalments has a schedule that shows who paid and who is late
  • The till, the books and payroll

At close Nizro works out what should be in the drawer, and you enter what you counted.

    • The difference is recorded under the name of the person who closed
    • With the accounts module on, every sale, purchase and expense posts to the right entry, so the income statement and balance sheet are ready when you open them
    • Each supplier and each refiner has a statement
    • Payroll, if you want it, follows Oman rules: Social Protection Fund, end of service and the Wage Protection System file
  • Compliance and the owner's numbers

Each customer's cash for the day is added up, and the owner has a page that answers his questions.

    • The cash reporting feature, when it is switched on, adds up each customer's cash for the day, asks for his ID at the till when the amount grows, and keeps a register for the compliance officer
    • Nizro sends nothing to the Ministry: the officer reports and records the reference in the system
    • The owner's page, switched on on request, answers what you earn on each gram, whether you sold below your sell price, and what the metal you own is worth at close
    • Every user has his own permissions, and every action carries his name and the time

Scale and karat

The price of a piece is worked out in front of you

Nizro takes the price per gram for the piece's karat, multiplies it by the weight, then adds the making charge and VAT.

  2. ×Price per gramFor the piece's karat18212224
  3. +Making charge

Questions everyone asks

Does the software sell by weight and karat?

Yes. It takes the price per gram for the piece's karat, multiplies by the weight and adds the making charge and tax. Bars and coins have their own prices.

Can I buy scrap gold from a customer and print a receipt?

Yes. Every purchase has a number and a receipt in which the customer confirms he owns the gold. Nizro keeps the photos of the piece and the seller's ID number. The receipt is not a tax invoice.

Does it know how much gold is with the refiner?

Yes. The metal ledger shows your gold in the shop, with suppliers and with refiners in pure grams, and every send and return is recorded with its weight.

Does it send cash reports to the Ministry?

No. Nizro adds up each customer's cash for the day and keeps a register for the compliance officer. The officer reports to the Ministry and records the reference in the system.

Is it ready for e-invoicing in Oman?

A Nizro invoice is structured today and the system is built to connect to Fawtara. Decision No. 189/2026 makes it mandatory from 1 April 2027 for businesses with annual supplies above OMR 5 million and from 1 October 2027 for every other VAT registered business. Confirm your own date with the Tax Authority.
