Silver and watch shops
Silver and watch shop software for Oman
Silver is priced by weight and fineness at today's rate, plus the making charge. A watch carries a serial number, a price you set and, with a warranty, its card.

- Watches with a serial numberAnd a price you set
- Watch warranty and its cardIts warranty starts the moment it sells at the till
- A VAT invoiceTax on each line separately
Works the way you already work
In a silver and watch shop: you and Nizro
- You
Register a silver piece with its fineness and weight.
NizroIt prices it at the sale at today's silver rate, then adds the making charge.
- You
Print the price board for the window.
NizroIt never prints an old price on it, and colours each price on screen by its age.
- You
Sell a watch at the till.
NizroIt starts its warranty at the moment of sale and prints a warranty card apart from the invoice.
- You
Buy a pre-owned watch from a customer.
NizroIt records the seller's ID and where the money came from, and keeps the watch off the till until someone inspects it.
- You
Count the drawer at the end of the day.
NizroIt records the difference, and with the accounts module it posts every sale, purchase and expense to its entry.
What a silver and watch shop gets
A silver piece is priced every day
You register the piece with its fineness grade and its weight, and the till prices it at the sale: weight, times fineness, times today's silver rate, plus the making charge.
- There are five grades: 999, 958, 925, 830 and 800
- The grade is a number out of 1000, so a 925 piece holds 925 parts of pure silver in every 1000
- You can untick a grade your shop does not sell and it leaves the till
- If you pick a grade and leave the weight empty, Nizro refuses to save, because a piece with no weight would keep selling at the price of the day it was created, however the rate moves
- A quote can carry silver by weight and fineness too: its price per gram holds until the end of the day it was sent, or for the hours you set, and never past its Valid until date; then a revised copy takes today's price
The price board and your margin
The metal prices page shows each grade's sell and buy price with your shop's margin.
- Every price has a colour that says how old it is: grey, amber, then red. Amber and red also carry a warning sign and a sentence
- If no silver price has arrived yet, the till says it cannot price the piece
- You can print a price board for the shop window, and it never prints an old price
- The making charge is typed per gram or per piece and goes into the line total
A watch: a serial number and a set price
A watch is not a quantity on a shelf, because every watch carries a serial number that makes it different from every other watch.
- The watch register keeps one row per watch you own, with its model, movement and source: authorised dealer, grey market or consignment
- The serial is unique across the whole business, so the same number cannot be entered for two branches
- The price is whatever you set, with no daily recalculation
- The making charge, such as fitting or repairing a strap, stays a separate line on the invoice
Watch warranty and its card
For each watch you record the warranty type: none, manufacturer or the shop's own, and the number of months.
- You never type a warranty start date anywhere, because the clock starts the moment the watch sells at the till
- If that sale is cancelled, the watch returns to stock and the clock is wiped, then starts fresh at the real sale
- Nizro prints a warranty card, separate from the tax invoice, for each watch that carries a warranty
- The card shows the serial, brand and model, warranty type, start and expiry dates, and two signature lines for seller and buyer
Buying a pre-owned watch from a customer
The buy-in form is separate from adding new stock.
- It records the seller's ID number, what you paid, and where the money left from: the till or the safe, so the drawer never goes short by the price of a watch without a record
- If you pay an amount that reaches the branch's ID limit with no ID recorded, Nizro does not stop you, but it stamps the row permanently
- The watch enters the register as pre-owned and is held back from the till until someone checks it and marks it ready for resale
- It sells under the VAT margin rule, so no VAT is added on top of the agreed price
The invoice, the books and compliance
VAT is worked out on each line separately and the invoice adds the lines up.
- With the accounts module on, every sale, purchase and expense posts to the right entry
- At close you count the drawer and the difference is recorded
- The owner's page, which is switched on at your request, answers questions such as what you earn on each gram and whether you sold below your sell price
- When the cash reporting feature is on, Nizro adds up each customer's cash for the day and keeps a register for the compliance officer. It sends nothing to the Ministry
Silver and watches
One field tells silver from a watch
A silver and watch shop sells two different kinds of piece on the same screen. Nizro reads the difference from one field: whether the piece carries a fineness grade.
A piece with a fineness grade
A silver piece by weight
- Weight, times fineness, times today's silver rate
- Then the making charge, per gram or per piece
- Five grades: 999, 958, 925, 830 and 800
A piece with no fineness grade
A watch at a set price
- A serial number, unique across the whole business
- The price is whatever you set, with no daily recalculation
- A warranty card whose clock starts at the sale
A day in your silver and watch shop with Nizro
Today's price

Selling a watch
Every watch has a serial number and the price you set, its warranty starts the moment it sells at the till, and the warranty card can be printed.
Buying a pre-owned watch

Questions everyone asks
Is silver priced at today's rate?
Yes. A piece is priced as weight, times fineness, times today's silver rate, plus the making charge. Each grade has its own price, with your shop's margin on top.
Which silver grades does it know?
Five: 999, 958, 925, 830 and 800. You can untick a grade your shop does not sell.
Does it record a watch's serial number?
Yes. Every watch has a row with its serial, and the serial is unique across the whole business.
When does a watch warranty start?
It starts the moment the watch sells at the till. You never type a date. A warranty card prints separately from the invoice.
Is it ready for e-invoicing in Oman?
