Interior design and fit-out software for Oman: contracts, stages and profit per project
An interior design and fit-out company works on a contract and delivers in stages. Nizro starts a project from a quote the client accepted, splits it into milestones with deposits and invoices, records costs and variation orders, and shows you the profit of each project on its own. Site jobs with crews, purchasing from subcontractors and suppliers, and payroll come with it.
Works the way you already work
In a fit-out company: you and Nizro
- You
Turn an accepted quote into a contract.
NizroIt takes the contract value from the written quote and splits it into stages with payments and dates.
- You
Take a payment.
NizroIt issues a VAT invoice for it, and warns you when the payments go over the contract.
- You
Record an addition the client asked for after the start.
NizroIt makes it a numbered change order with its difference in contract value, so extra work is never lost.
- You
Send the crew to site.
NizroIt prints the site note with the address and the crew's numbers, and records the job's costs on the project.
- You
Buy materials for a project.
NizroIt enters the amount in the project's profit and in your books at the same moment.
From the quote to the contract
A project starts from a quote the client accepted and you converted, so the contract value comes from the written quote, not from memory. Work categories arrive ready in Arabic and English: gypsum and partitions, flooring, painting, electrical works, plumbing and HVAC, joinery and carpentry, and maintenance contracts. If work was agreed without a quote, you open a project from one line and a contract value.
Milestones, deposits and invoices
Nizro builds a milestone schedule from your company's default weighting, with a percentage, a planned deposit and a date for each phase. Every deposit you collect gets a tax invoice and is booked as a liability on the customer advances account until handover. Three bars show what is complete, billed and collected. A project cannot be handed over before the full contract is collected. If deposits go past the contract, a warning appears, and the excess is treated as a refund due, not revenue.
Variation orders
The client asks for an addition after the start, and this always happens. You record it as a variation order with a number, a description, a change in the contract value and a cost estimate. When it is approved, the effective contract value becomes the new one and you collect the difference before handover. Extra work is never lost in figures that were edited without a trace.
Costs, profit and the project timeline
Everything you pay out on a project, materials, subcontractors and labour, is recorded on it, and it lands in your books and in the project's profit at the same moment. The project profit statement is the same income statement filtered to this project's entries. Before handover the revenue line is empty and the margin shows as a loss. That is intended, because revenue is recognised at handover. The portfolio timeline shows all your active projects on one line with their milestone dates.
Site jobs and crews
Delivery and fitting is work with an address, a time, a crew and costs, so it has its own job attached to the project. The crew has drivers and fitters. The jobs board sorts today's jobs, overdue jobs and unscheduled jobs. You print a site note with the address, the crew's numbers and a Received by line with name and date. The job's costs are recorded on the project itself, so they enter its profit. You switch the delivery module on in the settings.
Drawings and claims after handover
You upload designs to the project and record the client's agreement to each drawing: who agreed, how and when. The agreement is per drawing, not per project, so a revision cannot erase the agreement given to the version before it. After handover, a client's claim is recorded from the project page in his own words, and closed by writing what was done.
Purchasing, payroll and e-invoicing
You buy from subcontractors and suppliers through an order, a supplier bill and a statement. Payroll follows Oman rules: Social Protection Fund, end of service and the Wage Protection System file. A deposit invoice is structured today: tax on every line, sequential numbering and no amount, VAT, line or price changes after issue. The system is built to connect to Fawtara, which becomes mandatory for every VAT registered business from 1 October 2027 under Decision No. 189/2026. Confirm your own date with the Tax Authority.
Questions everyone asks
Does it follow project payments in stages?
Yes. Each project has a milestone schedule with percentages, planned deposits and dates, and every deposit gets a tax invoice and is booked as a liability until handover.
How do I record extra work the client asks for?
You add a variation order with the change in contract value and a cost estimate. When approved, the effective contract value becomes the new one.
Do I get the profit of each project?
Yes. Everything you pay out on a project is recorded on it, and the project profit statement shows revenue, costs and the difference.
Does it manage site crews?
Yes. Each job has a card with its address, time, crew and costs, a board that sorts today's and overdue jobs, and a note you print for the site.
Is it ready for e-invoicing in Oman?
A Nizro invoice is structured today and the system is built to connect to Fawtara. The mandatory date for every VAT registered business is 1 October 2027 under Decision No. 189/2026. Confirm your own date with the Tax Authority.
