Abaya shops and tailoring
Abaya shop and tailoring software for Oman
Measurements and atelier in one system: the counter that sells ready pieces, and the atelier that measures, tailors and delivers days later. A measurement is not a sale.
Built for Oman and the GCC · 30 days free

- 11 measurements per customerWith ranges that refuse a typing slip
- A tailoring order by stageDraft, workshop, fitting, ready, delivered
- A deposit before the workshopWhen the manager sets a minimum
- A VAT invoice at handoverWith the deposit applied against it
Works the way you already work
In an abaya shop and its atelier: you and Nizro
- You
Measure the customer once.
NizroIt keeps her measurements in her own file, in dated versions, and refuses a figure outside its range before the fabric is cut.
- You
Open a tailoring order.
NizroIt pins it to one version of her measurements, so months later you know which ones the abaya was cut to.
- You
Take the deposit.
NizroIt books it as owed, not as revenue, and keeps the order out of the workshop until the manager's minimum is paid.
- You
Read the workshop board each morning.
NizroIt counts the orders past their date and not ready, before a customer calls to ask about hers.
- You
Hand over the abaya and take the balance.
NizroIt issues the VAT invoice with the deposit applied, and the deposit becomes revenue on the day of handover.
What an abaya shop gets
The measurement file: 11 measurements with ranges that refuse a typing slip
The measurement file belongs to the customer, not to a job.
- It carries a number starting MEA and stays on her file
- It holds 11 measurements in centimetres: front length, back length, shoulder, sleeve length, arm width, bust, waist, hips, wrist, neck and height
- Each has a range the database accepts. If you type 600 instead of 60 for the sleeve length, the figure is refused before the fabric is cut
- Every new file for the same customer takes the next version number, and old ones are never deleted
A tailoring order pinned to one version of the measurements
A tailoring order has a number starting TLR and holds the garment, the fabric, the price and the delivery date.
- When you open it you pick one version of the measurement file, and it stays pinned to it
- So months later you know which measurements the abaya was cut to, even if the customer's body has changed
- Nizro will not accept an order on another customer's measurements
- Each order carries an alteration policy: re-alterable for plain pieces, or final sale for embellished and fully custom pieces. The system enforces it
The deposit and the stages of an order
If the branch manager sets a minimum deposit percentage, an order cannot move from draft to in workshop until the deposit is collected.
- The deposit is a liability to the customer, not income, and becomes revenue only the day you hand the piece over
- The stages are draft, in workshop, fitting, ready and delivered
- Each stage has a defined way out, and any jump off it is refused. So ready means the fitting happened and passed
- Every move is stamped with its date in the order's history strip
Reworks, outside workshops and alterations after handover
If a fitting does not pass, you send the order back to the workshop with a compulsory reason chosen from a list: fit adjustment, embroidery fix, fabric fault or style change.
- Nizro counts the reworks on the order, so at the end of the season you see where the tailors' time goes
- If you send sewing or embroidery to an outside workshop, you record what they bill you and it lands on that supplier's ledger with the order number
- If a customer comes back wanting a sleeve taken in, you reopen the delivered order with a written reason
- That is allowed within the window your manager sets and for re-alterable pieces only. A final-sale piece does not come back
The counter: ready abayas, shaylas and gifts
A ready abaya on the rail sells at the till like any item.
- A made-to-measure abaya is not a stock item at all: it is a tailoring order in the atelier
- Eight categories come ready in Arabic, including abayas, shaylas and scarves, and gift sets
- VAT shows on each line of the invoice
- At handover you collect the balance at the till, the sale becomes a tax invoice and the deposit is applied against it
Appointments and repeat visits
Fitting and collection appointments are booked on the same appointments screen.
- The customer's file gathers her visits, orders and payments
- A strip on the atelier board counts orders past their promised date and not ready, so you read it every morning before a customer phones to ask about her order
- A repeat order never creates an invoice by itself: it adds a follow-up to the calling list, and the sale is rung at the till only when she comes in
The stages of an order
From draft to handover
If the branch manager sets a minimum deposit percentage, the workshop does not start until it is collected. Then the order goes through its stages, each with a defined way out, until you hand it over on a VAT invoice.
Draft
It cannot move to the workshop until the minimum deposit, if the manager sets one, is collected
In workshop
What an outside workshop bills you lands on its supplier's ledger with the order number
Fitting
If it does not pass, it goes back to the workshop with a compulsory reason
Ready
It means the fitting happened and passed
Delivered
You collect the balance, the sale becomes a tax invoice and the deposit is applied against it
- Any jump off a stage's defined way out is refused
- Every move is stamped with its date in the order's history strip
- The deposit is a liability to the customer, not income, and becomes revenue only the day you hand the piece over
- A final-sale piece does not come back after handover

Measuring
You keep the customer's measurements in a file that stays with her, and each measurement has a range: the database refuses anything outside it.

The deposit
You take the deposit, and if the manager sets a minimum percentage the order cannot move from draft to in workshop until it is collected.
The workshop and the fitting
You follow the piece through its stages, and a strip on the atelier board counts the orders past their promised date and not ready, so you read it every morning.

Questions everyone asks
Where do I keep a customer's measurements?
In a numbered measurement file held on her record, with dated versions. It has 11 measurements in centimetres, and each has a range: the database refuses anything outside it.
How do I know which measurements an abaya was cut to?
Every tailoring order is pinned to one version of the measurement file, and the order page shows the file as it was on the cutting day.
Does it stop tailoring starting before the deposit is taken?
Yes, if the manager sets a minimum deposit percentage. The order cannot move from draft to in workshop until the deposit is collected.
Can I alter a piece after handover?
Yes for re-alterable pieces, within the window your manager sets, and with a written reason. A final-sale piece does not come back.
Is tailoring switched on from the start?
You switch it on in the settings when the shop has an atelier. The atelier guides in Arabic and English appear with it.
Can I try it before I pay?
Yes. 30 days free, no card. If you want a quote for your shop, press Request a quote.
Where is my data kept, and is it protected?
Nizro runs on Supabase: data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the provider holds SOC 2 Type 2. The data centre today is in Mumbai, India. On request, Nizro can be hosted inside Oman or on your own business servers.
