Everything that happens in your hotel between the guest arriving and the guest leaving, in one system that knows itself.
A night at the desk
In a twelve-room guesthouse the booking arrives on WhatsApp, gets written in a notebook, then copied into a spreadsheet. At dinner a guest walks in without a booking and is given a room the notebook said was free.
The problem is that the truth about your hotel lives in four places, and no one of them knows the others.
One system that runs the hotel from the booking to the goodbye, and carries your accounts, purchasing and payroll with it. Arabic and English, on a computer, a tablet and a phone.
The tape chart
in house confirmed tentative no room yet
The guest, the card, the folio and everything that has happened to the stay, on one screen.
Room and date already filled in. You do not retype what is in front of you.
One big button per room, grouped by floor: clean, inspected, dirty, out of order, out of service. A single tap moves it, and it works with a thumb on a tablet in the corridor.
The booking
The guest by phone, the dates, the room type, the rate plan, where the booking came from, and the deposit. All on one screen, and the figure changes in front of you as you change anything.
Direct WhatsApp, the website, the phone, a walk-in, Booking.com, Agoda, or something else. With the reference, the commission and who collects it. One button opens the guest's WhatsApp with a message carrying the dates and the price.
Book does not work until the dates are valid and a price comes back. If no room of that type is free, only a manager ticks "accept an overbooking", and it is written under their name. The desk does not have the choice.
Arrival
The Check in button does not appear at all until the lead guest's card is filled. In its place the screen reads "fill the registration card".
This is not a matter of screen order. It is a door in the database that refuses a check-in without a card, whichever way you come at it.
The card prints in Arabic and English on one sheet, with two signature lines: the guest and reception. The guest's consent is ticked before it saves.
The folio
If the guest has paid more than they owe, the same figure becomes balance to give back, so no surplus hides in a drawer.
Only a manager approves a price below the plan, and it does not save until the reason is typed. The reason stays on the stay for good, under the name of whoever approved it. The desk never sees the button.
Your own line from your own day is ordinary desk work. Somebody else's line, or a line from an earlier day, belongs to a manager. What was removed shows up in the "where money was given away" report.
Oman's levies
Service charge on the net. Tourism fee and municipality tax on the net plus the service charge. VAT on all of it. The order is the difference between the right figure and a figure near it.
Never folded into "tax included". The rates, the order and which fees VAT applies to are a setting for your hotel, not a rule fixed in the system.
2520 service charge · 2500 tourism fee · 2510 municipality tax. Liability accounts in the ledger, not income. So "how much do I owe the authorities" is a figure, not an estimate.
Checkout
Check out and invoice turns every open line into a sales invoice in the same Nizro books every other trade uses, through the same door and the same numbering.
Or all the nights booked. You choose, and the choice is written down.
Or, manager only, check out as booked with nothing added.
Its invoice is raised the moment the no-show is marked, the deposit is applied, and the room is released for the other nights so they show free on the chart to anyone who asks.
Behind the desk
Three screens built for a tablet and a thumb rather than a mouse, all writing into the same place the front desk reads from. Nizro does not make the three agree. It shows you the moment they did not.
Day close
Muscat time, not the time of a server in another country. It posts a night for every resident stay with its four levy lines, settles the no-shows under your policy, closes the drawers, works out the day's numbers and prepares the guest register. Nobody stays up for it.
The morning screen does not show what went right. It shows only what did not.
One button says close the days still open, and it walks through them one at a time under the same rules until it reaches today.
A file drawn from the registration cards themselves, every guest, companion and child by name, carrying a "reported" tick that stays in the record.
The manager's numbers
Occupancy
70%
84 nights sold of 120 that could be sold. The change against the previous period is in points, never a percentage of a percentage.
Average room rate
44.500
Room revenue over nights sold, before the levies and VAT.
Per available room
31.150
Room revenue over every night that could have been sold, empty ones counted in.
A report on the last thirty days. Every line in it opens its own stay, so you learn who did it and why, not only how much.
Channels On the way
A room you sell at the door has to leave Booking.com in the same minute, not in the evening when somebody opens the site's dashboard.
The channel bridge runs through an intermediary channel manager, so your hotel needs no technical agreement with each site of its own. It is the next piece of work on the hotel plan, and it arrives as an update rather than a new system to learn from the beginning.
And the rest of Nizro
Your hotel opens with five doors already there on the first day, not modules bought later and joined up with files.
And as the hotel grows: appointments for the spa, the transfer or the meeting room, and projects for events and functions. Turned on when you need them, not before.
Who may do what
The button is hidden, yes, but the act itself is refused in the database, so it does not slip through another screen or another device.
The difference
Not one room added, not one member of staff hired, not one price raised. Only the place where the truth lives has changed.
The next step
The hotel setup screen has five steps, and above them a strip that tracks what is left before "ready for the first guest". You go through it once, and then you get on with the work.
Floors and numbers in one go, up to 200 rooms for the property.
A rate plan per type, seasons, and the price of one particular night when you want it.
The rates and their order, the no-show policy, and your check-in and check-out hours.
We show you the system on your hotel: your rooms, your rates and your levies, not a general example.
